The Association was born in the year 1970 with a small group of officers to guide and motivate the Officer community for better performance besides safeguarding the rights and privileges during the tenure of their service.
In the beginning we were part of the organizational set up under the banner of AIBEA. Later, during 1980 when AIBEA sponsored a separate and independent organization for Officers under the banner of AIBOA, we naturally shifted our affiliation from AIBEA to AIBOA, under the title “KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK OFFICERS ASSOCIATION”.
The First Executive Committee Meeting was held on Saturday the 28th March 1970 at the Bank’s premises at 04.4.45 PM under the presidentship of Sri B.Suryanarayana Rao. It was resolved that Sri K.P.Venkatachala Setty to be the Secretary, and A.Chandrasekhara Rao as the Joint Secretary.
The second meeting of the Executive committee was held on Saturday the April 1970 at 03.30 PM in the Bank’s premises and resolved to submit an application to the Management on our demands and to consider in banking a part time clerk to look after the routine work of the Association and also to fix the remuneration.
The 3rd meeting of the Executive committee was held on Monday the 3rd August 1970 at 06.00 PM at Bank’s premises to consider the Bank account opened in the names of Sri K.P.Venkatachala Setty and Sri B.V.Ramakrishna on behalf of the Association to be closed and fresh account in the names of K.P.VenkataChala Setty and Sri V.Rajagopal be opened.
The 4th Executive Committee meeting was held on Thursday the 17th September 1970 at 05.30 PM in the Bank’s premises and resolved to pursue the letter No: 158/70 dated 15/09/70 received from the Vysya Bank Employees Union to extend cooperation and join the strike sponsored by them as the bipartite settlement failed.
The Executive committee meeting was held on Saturday the 23rd January 1971 at 3.30 PM at Bank’s premises to consider the date for the 2nd General Body meeting of the Association to be held in the month of February 1971.
The First General Body Meeting / Conference of the Association was held on Saturday the 28th March 1970 at 04.00 PM in the Bank’s premises under the Presidentship of Sri B.Suryanarayana Rao. Since then our journey started for the betterment of officers community.
In the 16th conference at Vijayawada held on 26th and 27th November 2016, the name of our association was changed to “KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK OFFICERS ASSOCIAITON” Post change in the name of the Bank to “KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK LTD.”.
